SEE WHAT UNIMAID GIRL DID HER NEW BORN BABY
The block A2 Murtala female hostel of the University of Maiduguri was yesterday 24th of May, 2017 thrown into pandemonium as a neonate was found with its head squeezed into a toilet while the rest of the body was covered by ants.
The perpetrator of the infanticide left no sign or trace but suggestions and observations of the female students living in the Hostel strongly allege that it is the handiwork of one of the female students living in that hostel, it was also alleged that she would have taken to her heels after the heinous crime.
The baby which was discovered to be a female and suspected to be a ‘premature’ (seven months foestus) was given birth to under the burning sun of Maiduguri at about 3.30pm and dumped with uncut umbilical cord and heavily bleeding inside the toilet was found by one of the cleaners in the hostels who was about to take her bath and close for the day. The cleaner who pleaded anonymity told Lumen Christi Press that it was her screaming as she discovered the baby that gathered students from all blocks of the female lodge even the attention of the school security.
The baby which was already gasping for breath with fresh wounds was taken to the hall mistress who refused to disclose her name condemned the act and promised that with the help of the school security men the perpetrators of the act must be found and consequently punished.
The effort of the medical team at the University Clinic was futile as the baby died a couple of minutes later.
