REVIVAL LIKE NEVER BEFORE

DEMONSTRATING THE POWER OF HIS MAJESTY
The Catholic Charismatic Renewal, Holy Ghost Prayer group organized a 3 day revival from the 25th to 28th of July 2019 at All saints Chaplaincy University of Maiduguri.
The program tagged “Demonstrating the power of his majesty.” began on Thursday 25th July with the holy Mass at exactly 5pm.
The Mass was officiated by the guest speaker Rev.Fr. Philibus Yakubu alongside Rev. Fr. Solomon Zaku. After the holy Mass, the Charismatic Singing ministry coordinated the Praise and Worship session. The revival anthem was then introduced.
Bro. Barnabas Awar welcomed everyone and assured them of a life changing revival. He then introduced the day’s speaker in the person of Rev. Fr. Philibus Yakubu from St. Marys Parish Damaturu.
While giving a talk on the theme, Fr. Philibus Charged everyone to take the revival seriously and see that they attend till the end. He spoke on the power of God and how it is reflected in our lives. He encouraged the brethren to take Prayer seriously and abstain from sin so as to witness the revelation of the power of God. Rev. Fr. Philibus also led the congregation in a prayer and worship session where he called on different intentions and prayed for everyone.
On the second day, which is the 26th of July 2019, The program also began at exactly 5pm where the singing ministry led the praise and worship segment as well as the revival anthem. The Moderator in person of Bro. Clement Abgo welcomed everyone and led the opening prayer. He then introduced the speaker of the day who is Bro.Stephen Ofondo.
Bro. Ofondo expressed his joy and acknowledged Rev. Fr. Solomon and Fr. Philibus .He also acknowledged some of his friends, colleagues and thanked everyone who came.
While teaching the congregation, Bro. Stephen made references to the wondrous deeds done by God as recorded in the scripture. He clearly stated how the power of God exists in his Word and urged everyone to study the word of God and make prophetic declarations on their lives. He charged everyone to have a purpose in life and to fully understand that God created everyone in his image and likeness so therefore, we are carriers of Gods wondrous acts and purpose.
After his teaching, Bro. Stephen Ofondo led the congregation in a prayer session where so many intentions were brought before the alter of God. He prayed for everyone’s safety amidst the insurgency. He further requested the congregation not to miss the next day’s program. The closing prayer was made and the announcements as well.
On the third day, being the 27th of July 2019, the program as usual began by exactly 5pm and the moderator was Bro. Emmanuel Ugwu. He also led the opening prayer and the Praise Band took charged and ministered for about 40 minutes. Bro. Ugwu then invited the Speaker to the stage.
The speaker in person of Bro. Stephen Ofondo mounted the stage and continued his teaching from where he stopped the previous day. He clearly explained the Grace and mercy of God and made scriptural references to Galatians:4, 2Corinthians:9vrs8, Ephesians 1:17-18. He further talked about the relevance of discovery in life explaining it as a secret to recovery which serves as a pace setter to ones destiny.
Bro.Ofondo pointed out key points and gave examples of people in the bible that God demonstrated his power to through these key points. These key points include-Humility (Mathew 18;1-30), Anointing in the spirit, Intimacy(Daniel 5;11) and so on.
The session was rounded up with a prayer and deliverance exercise . Various prophetic declarations were made as well.
The last day of the revival which is 28th August 2019(Sunday) was rounded up with Prayers, Adoration and Benediction.
The revival was indeed a wonderful experience that was much needed. It was impactful and indeed souls were revived.
