NFCS HOLDS SECOND SEMESTER EXAM SUCCESS PRAYER

Today, the 31st of August 2019, the Nigeria federation of Catholic students (NFCS) had her usual semester examination success prayer. The program began with the Holy Rosary around 5pm. After the Rosary, Bro. Clement Agbo the moderator led the congregation in a worship segment. After that, the NFCS praise band led the NFCS Anthem and praises.
The guest minister of the day in person Bro. Timothy Kuhe began his ministration with an opening prayer before preaching on the topic "Do not be afraid". (Isaiah 41:10). He explained fear and how it affects students academically. According to him, fear is the absence of Faith. He clearly stated how the phrase " Do not be afraid " mentioned 365 times in the Bible and there are 365 days in a year therefore God is telling us not to be afraid everyday. He gave illustrations of people in the Bible like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego and Daniel who were fearless in the face of trial and hardship.

Bro. Timothy gave tips on how to deal with fear. These include putting one's trust and belief in God and feeding oneself with the word of God. (Romans 10: 16). After his ministration, He led the congregation in a prayer session where so many intentions were prayed for. Examination success cards were submitted and prayed for before the altar of God.

The exam success prayer will be very incomplete without the Holy Mass hence, immediately after the ministration and prayer segment, the Holy Mass took place.
The Chaplain Rev.Fr. Solomon Zaku during the Mass spoke on the blessings and special gifts given to us by God. This is in line with the day's Gospel of "The parable of the Talents." He encouraged everyone to discover their talens and use same to glorify God. According to him, as students even though our aim is to study, we must discover our areas of speciality and use it to glorify God. He urged all students to study hard for their upcoming examination and to also trust God and themselves. He prayed and wished everyone a successful exams.

Exam Success Biros were distributed to everyone after they were blessed by the Chaplain.
The second semester examination success prayer was an event full of Praise, Worship, supplication, teaching and Benediction. It was a successful and wonderful program with massive turnout of students.
